D.R.E.A.M. grew out of the scientific and engineering experience of the DIAEE laboratories at Sapienza University of Rome. We combine specialist skills to take innovation out of the lab and into the spaces where people live and work.
Our approach brings together electrical design, automation and energy management, with attention to interoperability between systems.
Our philosophy is to make technology accessible to everyone: by simplifying digitalisation, we make it usable by a wide range of people.

In many cases, systems already installed can be integrated. Feasibility depends on device compatibility, available protocols, the plant configuration and the project goals. We start with a technical assessment.
What is the difference between home automation and building automation?
Home automation covers the automation and control of domestic spaces. Building automation applies similar principles to buildings and plants that can be very complex, often with advanced supervision and integration needs.
Is a Digital Twin useful without a new building?
Potentially, yes. A digital twin can also be developed for existing infrastructure, as long as enough data and technical information are available. Functions and level of detail are set according to feasibility.
Can lighting, climate and shading be managed from a single system?
It is one of the typical goals of an integrated home automation project. The functions actually available depend on the devices in place and the chosen technical architecture.
